Irrational broadening of philosophy of Gegel and Kant in Russia

The paper analyses the growth of the irrational component in the philosophy in Russia in the beginning of the 20th century occurring differently: emphasis is placed on the act of belief or on mysticism. On the one hand, the idea of all-unity is developed through Hegel’s dialectics of being and nothing as the unity of diversity, as the development of the idea of personality, its constitution through filling the wholeness and fullness of the being as well as its transfiguration. On the other hand, there is an increasing substantiation of not accepting the being and developing creative activity directed to re-creating reality and oneself as the new humanbeing. The first trend in its clearest meaning and best development is represented by L.P. Karsavin who created concept of personality on the strength of solid Christian metaphysics, the second – by F.A. Stepun who singled out types of personalities, such as petty bourgeois, mystical and artist’s one, in accordance with the structure of their soul and the role in life.
